A.S.H., Chairman & Patriarch

The Chairman of The Miami Family Office is a first generation wealth creator and would like to remain anonymous to protect the privacy of his family.  He created his wealth after leaving a successful career in the technology industry.  He identified and acquired a single retail location, working the register and front lines of the business.  Within a few years, he had expanded his holdings to include a few more locations, improving his business operations and profits along the way.

Together with his partners, he grew the portfolio into twenty-five locations and the group looked to sell the business.  Instead, eying an opportunity to continue building the business, our Chairman decided to buy out his partners and acquire 300 additional retail locations.  The Chairman recently sold that portfolio of 300+ locations for more than $500 million and his equity stake created over $300 million in liquidity.  The Chairman has a background in technology and business management, with an undergraduate degree and M.B.A. from here in the United States.  His expertise extends to real estate, operating businesses with underlying real estate components, food businesses, consumer businesses, and fuel stations.

Richard C. Wilson: CEO

Richard C. Wilson is CEO of The Miami Family Office, helping bring deal flow to the single family office, and attract talent, manage team members, and report on current assets.  Richard founded the Family Office Club, the #1 largest association of family office professionals and is the bestselling author of The Single Family Office: Creating, Operating, and Managing the Investments of a Single Family Office.  Richard has his undergraduate degree from Oregon State University, his M.B.A. from University of Portland, and has studied master’s level psychology through Harvard’s ALM program while previously residing in Boston.  Richard currently resides on the island of Key Biscayne, Florida with his wife and two daughters.

Douglas Scott: Reporting Manager

Douglas Scott is in charge of reporting for The Miami Family Office and serving as a front-line screener of potential single family offices who is looking for co-investors or joint-venture partners.

Douglas helps operate the Family Office Club Association where he interacts with family office members, and investment banking, private equity, and real estate families each day.

Tyler McNicholas: Executive Recruiter

Tyler McNicholas is the Executive Recruiter for The Miami Family Office and is helping build the team at this relatively-new single family office.

Rafael Tassini is 100% focused on data research as it pertains to our direct investment activities.  In the past, Rafael has helped build acquisition-target databases, investment banker databases, and helped source contact and business details for valuable private companies.  Rafael has more than six years of experience focused on data compilation, research, and analysis.
